Art at Maker
The Rame Conservation Trust actively supported the development of an artistic culture at Maker. It did this by renting studios to local artists and potters, some with a strong national reputation.
Artists and potters who have been based at Maker include Heath Hearn, Katie Brown, Nicola White, Jill Holland, Sally Turner, Helen Markwood, John Chan and Andy Knights – and many more.
This artistic culture continues to thrive today as Maker draws tenants with a wide range of digital and traditional artistic skills, including filmmaking, photography, textiles, pottery and art.
